We encourage a client to include vendors in a workshop when:

  • The outsourcing arrangement is new to both organizations, and the client wants to establish effective processes and "best practices"

  • The client wants its outsourced program(s) to run more effectively and with fewer issues – on the client, as well as the vendor side

  • The client wants to partner with its vendors in the delivery of the outsourced services, or promote cooperation between vendors

However, there are situations where a vendor's participation in a workshop may be premature or counter-productive. This question should be addressed early in the planning stages.
