Typically, we establish a consulting project by following these steps:

  1. Meet with a client to determine needs and outcomes expected

  2. Discuss what would be required to create these outcomes, in terms of skills, time frame and resources needed

  3. Agree on project objectives and outcomes, budget, resources available and start date

  4. Document these agreements in a Statement of Work and work plan

  5. Sign an agreement and establish the purchase order for project costs

  6. Kick off the project
