Typically, we establish a consulting project by following these steps:
- Meet with a client to determine needs and outcomes expected
- Discuss what would be required to create these outcomes, in terms of skills, time frame and resources needed
- Agree on project objectives and outcomes, budget, resources available and start date
- Document these agreements in a Statement of Work and work plan
- Sign an agreement and establish the purchase order for project costs
- Kick off the project
